411 Seniors Centre Society

411 Seniors Centre Society.

The development strategy for the 411 Seniors Centre website began with a comprehensive needs assessment to evaluate the communication potential of the organization. This involved engaging with key stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and the older adult community, to understand their information needs and preferences. Following the assessment, a meticulous plan was crafted to implement a robust communications infrastructure and strategy. The website emerged as the central organizing platform, designed not only to disseminate information but also to foster community engagement. The website was equipped with user-friendly features, ensuring easy navigation and accessibility for older adults. Regularly updated content, including event calendars, newsletters, and resources, were incorporated to keep the community informed. The implementation of social media integration and an email newsletter system further enhanced the organization’s ability to connect with its audience. The overarching goal was to create a dynamic and interactive online presence while also enhancing  off-line communications with consideration to those older adults who are not as digitally connected, reinforcing the 411 Seniors Centre’s commitment to continual communication and community building.
